Friendly Cancelled, But Jotun Arena's Autumn Diary Stays Packed
A training match against Fredrikstad at Jotun Arena has been called off at short notice. The cancellation is a minor blip in what remains a busy autumn schedule, with five Eliteserien home fixtures still ahead and women's football at the stadium this Sunday.
Friendly Called Off at Short Notice
A planned training match between Sandefjord Fotball and Fredrikstad, scheduled for Saturday at 15:00 at Jotun Arena, has been cancelled. The club announced the news on 2 October, offering no further detail beyond confirming the fixture would not go ahead.
The cancellation means the artificial turf at Nygårdsveien 84 will have one fewer outing this week, with the squad's focus shifting entirely to the upcoming Eliteserien calendar.
Women's Football Takes Centre Stage
With the senior men's programme on a break from competitive action, Jotun Arena is not sitting idle. Sandefjord Fotball Kvinner 2 are due to host Fossum/Storm 2 on Sunday 4 October at 14:00 in the 4. divisjon Kvinner Opprykksligaen, keeping the stadium active and in use across the club's full football family.
Five Home Games Still to Come
Despite the midweek quiet, the stadium's autumn schedule is anything but sparse. Sandefjord Fotball have five Eliteserien home fixtures remaining in 2026, beginning with the visit of Lillestrøm on 18 October. Molde follow on 8 November, Tromsø on 29 November, and the home campaign closes against Vålerenga on 13 December.
Tickets for all upcoming home matches are on sale through TicketCo. The club's SF Ekstra membership initiative, with an event listed for 11 October at Jotun Arena, is also keeping the supporter community engaged as the season builds towards its climax.
Momentum Behind the Stadium
All of this comes off the back of Sandefjord Fotball's 3-0 home victory over IK Start on 20 September — a result that gave the six-game home run the ideal launch. With the autumn stretch now firmly under way, Jotun Arena is set to be the focal point of the club's push through the final weeks of the Eliteserien season.
