Jotun Arena is delivering far more than just football this September, with a coaching development event and the SF Ekstra fan programme running alongside first-team action. The stadium is set to host Eliteserien matches right through to mid-December. It is shaping up to be the ground's most eventful autumn in years.
A Packed Week at Nygårdsveien 84
Jotun Arena is in the thick of one of its busiest stretches of the 2026 Eliteserien season. The week surrounding the Viking FK home fixture on 4 September brought together first-team football, a coaching and leadership development gathering, and the return of the club's popular SF Ekstra supporter initiative — all under the same roof.
The coaching and leadership event, known as Trener og ledersamling, drew participants focused on player and coach development across the Vestfold region. It ran on the evening of 4 September, coinciding with the Viking match day programme — a sign of how Jotun Arena is increasingly being used as a hub beyond ninety minutes of football.
SF Ekstra Keeps Fans Close to the Club
On 6 September, the September edition of SF Ekstra got underway from 9:00 AM at Jotun Arena. The membership programme is designed to keep supporters and stakeholders actively engaged with Sandefjord Fotball throughout the month, offering access and experiences that go well beyond a matchday ticket.
With a few places still available in the September edition, the club has encouraged fans to move quickly to secure their spot. The initiative reflects a broader effort by Sandefjord Fotball to build a stronger bond between the team and its community.
The Home Run Continues
The busy September schedule is just the beginning. Jotun Arena will host Eliteserien football through to 13 December, when Vålerenga come to town for the final home game of the season. In between, IK Start, Lillestrøm, Molde, and Tromsø are all set to visit the 6,500-capacity ground in Sandefjord.
For a stadium opened in 2007 and built on an artificial turf surface measuring 105 by 68 metres, the fixture list ahead represents a real opportunity to cement Jotun Arena's reputation as one of the liveliest venues in Norwegian top-flight football.
