Jotun Arena Keeps Humming as First Team Heads to Cup Tie
With Sandefjord Fotball's senior side away at Eidanger in the Norwegian Cup this weekend, Jotun Arena's week is shaped by academy action and reserve football. The first team returns to Eliteserien home duties on 30 August when Brann visit Sandefjord.
Week 34 Schedule at Jotun Arena
Sandefjord Fotball's official website published a weekly round-up on 17 August outlining what supporters can expect at Jotun Arena during week 34. With the first team away for a Norwegian Cup tie against Eidanger on 23 August, the stadium will be busiest with academy and reserve-team activity across the week.
Fans looking to visit the ground are advised to check the schedule carefully, as the club noted that details remain subject to change. Wednesday's session is confirmed as a single training slot beginning at approximately 10:45.
First Team on the Road After Sarpsborg Heroics
The senior side heads into the cup round off the back of a morale-boosting 2–1 away victory at Sarpsborg 08 on 16 August — a result the club described as an extraordinary team effort. Sandefjord sit 13th in Eliteserien after 17 matches, making every point and cup run precious as the autumn programme approaches.
With the next home Eliteserien fixture against Brann not until 30 August, Jotun Arena's next major matchday is still a fortnight away. That contest is scheduled for 17:00, giving supporters plenty of time to plan their visit.
Academy Keeps Jotun Arena Busy
While the first team travels, the academy is flying. The G16 side — the Komplett-Akademiet — booked a quarter-final place in the Norwegian Championship on 19 August after a thriller against KFUM Oslo in the last sixteen. Closer to home, the G14 team also impressed recently on Jotun Arena's artificial surface, hammering Molde 7–2 to delight the local faithful.
The reserve side, SF2, also bounced back in style with a 4–1 home win over Bjørkelangen, underlining the depth of activity that keeps the stadium alive even during first-team away weeks.
