Kapskarmo Signs Until 2030 After Starring in 3-0 Home Win
Oscar Kapskarmo has committed his future to Sandefjord Fotball with a contract running until 2030, just days after scoring in the club's emphatic 3-0 Eliteserien win over IK Start at Jotun Arena. The result, sealed by goals from Gigović, Pettersen and Sauer in front of 4,481 fans, launched Sandefjord's six-game home run in perfect fashion.
Kapskarmo Commits to Sandefjord
Oscar Kapskarmo, who found the net in the 80th minute during the 3-0 victory over IK Start on September 20, has put pen to paper on a long-term deal that will keep him at Jotun Arena until the end of 2030. The club confirmed the signing on September 25, describing it as a permanent arrangement.
The news has been welcomed warmly by the Sandefjord supporter community, coming just days after Kapskarmo's contribution helped open the club's six-game home run in style.
A Performance to Remember
The Start match — played in front of 4,481 supporters at Jotun Arena — ended in a commanding 3-0 victory for Sandefjord. Goals from Ervin Gigović, Edvard Sundbø Pettersen and Mathias Sauer rounded off a performance the club described as a "magisk aften" — a magical evening — with the scorers putting themselves firmly in contention for goal of the season.
The result was all the more impressive given a goalless first half, with Sandefjord turning on the style after the break to send the Jotun Arena crowd home in high spirits.
More Home Action Ahead
The win over Start is just the beginning of a demanding home stretch. Sandefjord have five further Eliteserien fixtures at Jotun Arena before the season closes, hosting Lillestrøm on October 18, Molde on November 8, Tromsø on November 29, and Vålerenga on December 13.
With the backing of their home crowd at the 6,582-capacity stadium on Nygårdsveien 84, Sandefjord will be looking to build on their opening-night momentum and turn Jotun Arena into a genuine fortress as the title race enters its decisive phase.
Youth and Reserve Action
Off the back of the first-team's result, the wider Sandefjord setup has also been buzzing. SF2 defeated Elverum 4-3 at Jotun Arena on September 26 in a high-scoring encounter, while a training match against Fredrikstad is scheduled at the stadium this coming Saturday, giving further opportunities for competitive football at the ground before the next Eliteserien fixture in October.
