No Home Game in Week 34, But Jotun Arena Stays Busy
Jotun Arena enters a brief pause in home first-team action this week as Sandefjord Fotball travel away for their Norwegian Cup first-round fixture against Eidanger. Academy sides and training sessions keep the stadium active, with the G14 team recently recording a 7–2 home win against Molde. The next Eliteserien home game — against Brann — is scheduled for 30 August.
A Week Without Home Action — But Not Without Activity
According to the club's own weekly update, Jotun Arena will not host a first-team home match during Week 34. The senior men's side travel away for their Norwegian Cup first-round tie against Eidanger, leaving the stadium free of top-team action this weekend.
The training schedule does continue at the venue, however, with a solo session confirmed for Wednesday morning, starting at approximately 10:45.
Academy Action Keeps the Lights On
While the first team are on the road, Jotun Arena continues to buzz with academy activity. The club's G14 side recently hosted Molde at the stadium, running out 7–2 winners in a dominant display. The result underlines the depth of talent coming through the Sandefjord Fotball academy pipeline.
Meanwhile, the G16 side — playing away — produced a thriller to advance to the quarter-finals of the Norwegian Championship, beating KFUM Oslo in the round of sixteen.
First Team in Fine Away Form
The senior squad heads into the cup tie on the back of a strong result, having claimed a 2–1 victory away at Sarpsborg 08 on 16 August — a performance the club described as extraordinary. With Brann visiting Jotun Arena on 30 August and Viking to follow on 4 September, supporters will not have long to wait before top-flight football returns to Sandefjord.
