Sandefjord Fire Up Six-Game Home Run With 3-0 Demolition of Start
Sandefjord Fotball kicked off their crucial end-of-season home sequence with a commanding 3-0 victory over IK Start at Jotun Arena on 20 September. A goalless first half gave way to a dominant second-half display, with the result setting the tone for five further home fixtures to come. Lillestrøm, Molde, Tromsø and Vålerenga are all still to visit before mid-December.
A Perfect Start to the Home Run
Sandefjord Fotball launched what promises to be a decisive home stretch of the 2026 Eliteserien season in the best possible fashion, running out 3-0 winners over IK Start at Jotun Arena on 20 September. After a goalless opening 45 minutes, the hosts came alive after the break to deliver a commanding second-half performance on the artificial turf at Nygårdsveien 84.
The result moved Sandefjord to 23 points after 21 matches, sitting 11th in the Eliteserien standings — and with five further home fixtures still to come, the timing could not have been better.
Six-Game Home Run Takes Shape
The win over Start was the opening act of a six-match home sequence that Sandefjord will be hoping yields a major points haul before the season closes in December. Jotun Arena — which holds 6,582 spectators and has been the club's home since 2007 — is set to be the focal point of the club's season run-in.
Four more sides are still to make the trip to Sandefjord: Lillestrøm on 18 October, Molde on 8 November, Tromsø on 29 November, and Vålerenga on 13 December. Each fixture represents a genuine opportunity for the home side to climb the table in front of their own supporters.
Lillestrøm Next Up
Attention now turns to the visit of Lillestrøm on 18 October, the next Eliteserien fixture at Jotun Arena. Tickets are available through TicketCo, and fans are encouraged to plan their visit in advance as the autumn schedule fills up.
With the home run now firmly under way, Jotun Arena is ready to play its part in what could be a pivotal final chapter of Sandefjord Fotball's 2026 campaign.
