Sandefjord Fotball's bold 'Folkets Kamp' promotion — which offered supporters entry to the Eliteserien home clash against KFUM Oslo for just 19 kroner, covering the booking fee alone — delivered exactly the packed atmosphere the club had hoped for. Jotun Arena was sold out for the 7 August fixture, a remarkable achievement for a side sitting in the lower half of the Eliteserien table.
The club had billed the initiative as a deliberate effort to open the gates of Jotun Arena to the entire community, giving families and casual fans a chance to experience top-flight Norwegian football at a near-zero cost. By all accounts, the response from Sandefjord supporters was overwhelming.
KFUM Silence the Crowd
Despite the electric atmosphere generated by a full house, the result on the night was a painful one for the home side. KFUM Oslo claimed all three points with a 1–0 victory, leaving Sandefjord Fotball with nothing to show for the stadium-wide effort.

The Brann match offers an immediate opportunity to bounce back in front of the home support — and the record 15–0 cup victory away at Eidanger on 23 August will at least have done something to lift spirits ahead of what promises to be a crucial autumn at the stadium.
