Bodø/Glimt Visit a Buzzing Jotun Arena as Eliteserien Resumes
Eliteserien football returns to Jotun Arena on 26 July as Sandefjord host title contenders Bodø/Glimt in matchday 15. More than 3,500 tickets have already been sold for the eagerly awaited home clash, the first at the stadium since the summer break.
Eliteserien Returns to Jotun Arena After the Summer Break
After an extended break during the Norwegian common holiday period, Eliteserien football is back in Sandefjord. Bodø/Glimt, one of the most formidable sides in Norwegian football, are the visitors for matchday 15 on Saturday 26 July — and the home faithful are already rallying.
Ticket sales have been brisk in the build-up, with 3,500 seats already snapped up ahead of kick-off. Supporters who have yet to secure their place in the stands can purchase tickets through the SF App or via the club's official ticketing link on TicketCo.
A Tough Test for Sandefjord
Sandefjord head into the fixture sitting eighth in the Eliteserien table on 14 points after 11 rounds — level with Sarpsborg 08 and Vålerenga immediately above and below them. A positive result against the title contenders from the north would be a significant statement of intent in the second half of the season.
The mood around the club has been tempered somewhat by a 4-0 defeat to Tromsø in a pre-break friendly at Grefsen Stadion on 4 July, a result the coaching staff attributed to individual errors. The Bodø/Glimt clash gives the squad an immediate opportunity to bounce back on home turf.
Folkets Kamp Already on the Horizon
With the Bodø/Glimt match acting as the curtain-raiser for the second half of the home schedule, supporters can also look ahead to what the club is billing as Folkets Kamp — the People's Match — on Friday 7 August when KFUM Oslo come to Jotun Arena. For that fixture, fans will pay only the 19-kroner booking fee, making it one of the most affordable Eliteserien evenings of the year.
With big games and fan-friendly initiatives lined up, the remainder of the Jotun Arena season promises plenty of reasons to make the trip to Nygårdsveien.
