Sandefjord host third-placed Molde at Jotun Arena on Sunday

Sandefjord welcome Molde to Jotun Arena on Sunday, November 8, in Eliteserien Round 26. The hosts are 12th and Molde are third, 16 points ahead. A cold afternoon is forecast in Sandefjord.

Kick-off and conditions

Sandefjord host Molde at Jotun Arena on Sunday, November 8, with kick-off at 5:00 PM local time. The match is Round 26 of the Eliteserien. Uli Aslam is listed as the referee.

FotMob's forecast for the afternoon is about 3°C, so supporters should dress warmly. The stadium's listed capacity is 6,582.

A test against the top three

Molde arrive third in the Eliteserien table with 43 points from 25 games. They are level on points with Rosenborg in fourth, and Lillestrom are one point behind in fifth. Leaders Viking and Bodo/Glimt are both on 59 points, 16 clear of Molde.

Sandefjord are 12th with 27 points from 25 games. That is 16 points fewer than Molde. It is also the same total as Ham-Kam, who sit just below them in 13th.

Why the points matter at the bottom

The lower half of the table is tight. Sandefjord are three points ahead of Aalesund in 14th, who have 24. Kristiansund BK are on 23 in 15th. Start are bottom with 19, eight points behind Sandefjord.

Sandefjord have little room to relax. Fredrikstad in 11th have 29 points, two more than Sandefjord. Sarpsborg 08 and KFUM Oslo are on 31. Every home point against a side chasing the leaders could shift the standings in either direction.

What comes next at home

The Molde match is one of the remaining home fixtures this season. Tromso are scheduled to visit Jotun Arena on November 29, in Round 28.

There is no confirmed team news from either camp ahead of the match. Any injury or suspension news will be reported here once it is available.
