Jotun Arena Buzzing as Youth and Seniors Hit Their Stride
Sandefjord Fotball's weekly update for week 34 confirmed a busy schedule of matches and training at Jotun Arena, with youth sides delivering eye-catching results on home turf. The G14 team beat Molde 7-2, SF2 thrashed Bjørkelangen 4-1, and the G16 side reached the Norwegian Championship quarter-finals. The first team, meanwhile, head into a Norwegian Cup tie at Eidanger off the back of a 2-1 win at Sarpsborg 08.
A Week of Activity at Jotun Arena
Sandefjord Fotball published their weekly schedule for week 34, confirming a series of training sessions and matches centred on Jotun Arena. The update noted that the first team would be away for the Norwegian Cup first round, travelling to Eidanger for a tie on 23 August, while midweek individual training sessions at the stadium continue as normal from approximately 10:45.
The schedule underlines how Jotun Arena functions not only as a matchday venue but as the daily training hub for multiple squads across the club's football pyramid.
Youth Sides Shine on Home Turf
The academy sides have also been making their mark at Jotun Arena in recent days. The club's G14 team claimed a commanding 7-2 victory over Molde on home soil, while the reserve side SF2 bounced back in style with a 4-1 win over Bjørkelangen at the stadium after a difficult run of results.
On the youth cup front, the G16 side — representing the Komplett-Akademiet — edged past KFUM Oslo in a thriller to secure a quarter-final place in the Norwegian Championship, further boosting the mood around the club.
First Team Eyes Cup Run
The senior men's squad head into the cup week buoyed by their 2-1 away win at Sarpsborg 08 on 16 August, a result the club described as the product of an extraordinary collective effort. With the cup trip to Eidanger on 23 August next on the agenda, the focus will quickly turn back to Jotun Arena and the Eliteserien home game against Brann scheduled for 30 August.
With both senior and academy teams finding form, the atmosphere around Sandefjord's home ground is building ahead of a crucial stretch of the season.
