Nine Home Games Remain as Jotun Arena Becomes Sandefjord's Lifeline
Sandefjord Fotball face a defining autumn stretch with nine Eliteserien home games still to play at Jotun Arena, beginning with Brann on 30 August. Sitting 13th in the table, the club needs their stadium to become a genuine fortress if they are to avoid a relegation battle.
Nine Home Games, One Long Autumn
With the Eliteserien season entering its decisive phase, Jotun Arena is set to become the focal point of Sandefjord Fotball's campaign over the coming months. The club has nine home fixtures remaining, stretching from August all the way to mid-December 2026 — a fortress run that could define where the side finishes in the table.
The schedule begins with a home clash against Brann on 30 August, before Viking arrive on 4 September. After that, supporters can look forward to visits from Lillestrøm on 18 October, Molde on 8 November, Tromsø on 29 November, and Vålerenga on 13 December.
Pressure Mounts in the Standings
Sandefjord currently sit 13th in the Eliteserien with 15 points from 16 matches, level on points with Kristiansund and just four points above the bottom of the table. The coming home stretch represents a significant opportunity — and a significant pressure point — for the squad.
The recent 1–0 home defeat to KFUM Oslo, despite a sold-out Jotun Arena for the Folkets Kamp promotion, underlined that results on the pitch have not yet matched the growing energy in the stands. Positive home form will be essential if Sandefjord are to pull clear of the relegation zone.
Why Jotun Arena Matters
Opened in 2007, Jotun Arena holds up to 7,200 spectators and features a 105m x 68m artificial turf surface. The stadium demonstrated its pulling power with a sell-out for the recent KFUM Oslo fixture, and the club will be looking to sustain that momentum through the autumn.
With big-name opponents including Brann and Viking still to visit, there are plenty of occasions on the horizon to galvanise the home crowd — and, the club hopes, collect the points needed to secure Eliteserien survival.
